The countdown is about to begin

This is my inagural post to the new blog dedicated to my family (let's see how well I can keep up with it!). Since our family and friends are so scattered about, I thought it would be a great way for everyone to keep with how the McKinney's are doing and the person everyone is most interested in, soon to arrive baby Kara. Here's a picture of her if you haven't already seen her...

She's much bigger now than in this picture (this was at about 20 weeks and we're in week 35 now), and we'll hopefully have a new picture in 2 weeks when they check for her position in mom's belly.

In the mean time, here's a few pictures of "Mommie" at her recent baby shower this past weekend. Thanks to all who were able to attend, it really meant a lot to us to have everyone there. 

Oh, and we're still accepting gifts if you couldn't make it! :-)
