The last night few nights, a miracle has occurred. I'm not sure why, I'm not sure how, but Kara has managed to sleep for 6+ hours straight during the night. She doesn't like to go to sleep till about 1am, but once she's down, she's been sleeping till 8am giving us 6 or 7 hours of sleep. 
The first night she did it, Kathy thought there was something wrong. She woke up at 5 am and checked on her because Kara was quiet and fast sleep. Kathy had to continue to check on her just to make sure she was breathing because she couldn't believe she was still asleep. We thought it would take a lot longer than this for her to start sleeping that long but we're not going to complain!

I've seen a few smiles here and there but they're mainly when she's sleeping and it's not really a response to anything we're doing. It will be fun to see her smile and laugh in response to us though.
Other than the smiles, she's starting to hold herself up a lot more (she's been doing it since week 1, but now she's got a lot more control and can do it for longer) and she's starting to look around a lot. She will lock on to a light and as I walk around, she'll just keep starring at the light, moving her head around watching it in awe. It's pretty funny actually to see how amazed she seems just starring at a light. I wish I could be entertained so easily, I'd have a lot more money in the bank :-).
